Seems like my honey likes the idea of pickled beets but doesn't actually want to eat them. And me, I'm just not much of a pickle eater. He was quite happy with the beet salad that I made last night and ate every last bite.

Amazing that you are robbing such big potatoes, I can't wait to see what they are like when they are fully mature!Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07812702328134261533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-313396449380749054.post-65314581604424842292014-08-12T07:01:32.291-04:002014-08-12T07:01:32.291-04:00One year I planted two varieties of sunflower. Now I have sunflowers that are mostly like Lemon Queen, but occasionally show pale red rings in the middle. Of course Lemon Queen is supposed to be about 6' tall so I have no clue why I keep getting 8' tall plants. Love the harvests. It does get big, but the seed is outrageously expensive. It's good to have a balance. I like the small, branching sunflowers which make great cutting flowers. I had some as a volunteer so there are OP versions of them.David Veltenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07710293718143454000noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-313396449380749054.post-69864437334349894562014-08-11T08:54:49.733-04:002014-08-11T08:54:49.733-04:00Gorgeous harvest!
