To do all that work only for them to return for a vengeance... sometimes it feel like I spend more time weeding than anything else.Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04343685271510850819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-313396449380749054.post-24409912187739856632014-08-04T23:56:41.780-04:002014-08-04T23:56:41.780-04:00That tart looks amazing, I wish I could have a sli...That tart looks amazing, I wish I could have a slice right about now. I also like those Velour beans, they must be much easier to find than the green ones that like to hide. I've no idea what the mystery bug is, but I like it when I can squash the squash bugs and Japenese beetles two at a time.Dave @ HappyAcreshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03441364543023807886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-313396449380749054.post-87483394480425571722014-08-04T17:27:50.969-04:002014-08-04T17:27:50.969-04:00Last year I grew some Kennebecs. Home grown potatoes are far better than store bought.gardenvariety-hoosierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02823437033502199023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-313396449380749054.post-6513474451199041622014-08-04T16:24:37.715-04:002014-08-04T16:24:37.715-04:00I hadn't heard that you should harvest heirloo...I hadn't heard that you should harvest heirlooms before they are ripe - I'm going to keep that in mind this year. Love the gorgeous squash vines everywhere - you are in for quite the harvest. I haven't made a rustic pie in ages - yours looks delicious - must make one soon.Margarethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15949946977793864054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-313396449380749054.post-12463218044709899152014-08-04T11:08:30.515-04:002014-08-04T11:08:30.515-04:00Those potatoes are huge. I'm really happy to have them, though to be honest I could use about half the amount of cukes that I'm getting. I plant this many because you never know. In a bad cuke year I still want some cucumbers. But it means in a good year, I'm drowning in them. And don't feel bad for "pretty bug" - squish it! They are destroying my grapes and most of the lilies this summer. :(Jenny Rottingerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09559432369642740389noreply@blogger.com
